Malaysia is not short of talents and our very own national gymnast, Farah Ann just proved that by qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics!

The 25-year-old gymnast finished 16th out of 20 qualifiers in the qualifying session at the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany!
Her individual all-around results were qualified based on the third criteria as set by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), the governing body of competitive gymnastics.

Farah is now the third Malaysian gymnast to qualify for the upcoming Olympics and the first Malaysian woman artistic gymnast to feature in the Olympics after 20 years, with her senior Au Ki Yen last being featured in the 2000 Sydney games.

She posted the good news on Instagram expressing her gratitude towards her coaches, teammates and family, ending the caption with “Tokyo 2020 here we come”!
Earlier this year Farah Ann also won the first-ever gold medal for Malaysia in the uneven bar event and silver on floor exercise at the Ukraine International Cup 2019!
Farah will be joining Malaysian diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri, who also qualified for 2020 Tokyo Olympics!
Our Malaysian pride! We wish them all the best and hope that they will be able to bring home the gold for Malaysia!
