As most of us are staying in our homes to curb the spread of COVID-19, many things that we’ve been eagerly waiting for has unfortunately had to take a back seat. This includes movies and series.

Many movies and series have had to have their release and production dates postponed because of this, and while it a very wise move in the fight against the pandemic, some fans are not happy.
Particularly Marvel and Doctor Strange fans.
Marvel Studios recently shared their new release dates for its upcoming movies and fans were not happy to see that the highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has once again been postponed.
Earlier in the month, Marvel announced that the Doctor Strange sequel would be moving from its release date from 7th May 2021 to 5th November 2021. Now, a second rescheduling from Marvel has pushed the sequel for release on 22nd March 2022.
Understandably, fans were not handling the latest update well.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the sequel to Doctor Strange ever since his first solo movie was released in 2016. As Doctor Strange 2 will now only hit theaters in 2022, that marks six years between the two movies – the longest gap between any MCU movie and its sequel.
What’s more, fans have been on the edge of their seats for the sequel ever since it was announced that Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch would be teaming up with the superhero doctor and Spider-Man director Sam Raimi would be helming the project.
Fans have taken to the Twitterverse to share their thoughts and frustrations on the delay.
I cant believe we got Spider-Man 2 last year and were getting a new one next year, but Doctor Strange had his first film 4 years ago and his second one is coming out in 2 years I cant believe this.

Dr Strange is one of @Marvel 's most finest movies it must keep the same feeling, the same perfection in acting and execution and story.

Doctor Strange requieres an extensive post production. It’s best to delay it and not put out a rushed product https://t.co/xpstNtn4rd

WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU MOVE UNCHARTED (WHICH NO ONE WANTS) INTO SPIDER-MAN’S SLOT AND WHICH THEN PUTS SPIDER-MAN INTO DOCTOR STRANGE’S SLOT PUSHING THAT BACK. JUST DELAY UNCHARTED TO 2022. THEY’VE DONE IT ENOUGH TIMES THAT NO ONE WOULD NOTICE OR CARE! https://t.co/9ASf0PYr8h

While it sucks that the sequel has been delayed once again, we’re hoping that this gives the production all the time it needs to give us fans the Doctor Strange 2 that we deserve. We’d rather a delayed movie than a rushed one that’s not 100%, tbh…
