Some of us had separation issues when we were little and would cry when our parents left us at home… but one mother got it figured out!

A tweet went viral after a Japanese mom found a way to stop her son from crying whenever she left him alone by using a life-size cutout.

The Twitter user shared the cardboard cutout that he and his wife created to trick their son into thinking she’s constantly around the house.
They even created two cutouts of the mom, one standing and one sitting and tried it to see if it would work and their son didn’t seem to notice anything suspicious when they tested it out!

“This may help sometimes,” the tweet wrote showing a video of the mom quickly creeping out the door after putting the cutout in place and apparently managed to keep their son from noticing for around 20 minutes!
He also showed the reaction of the baby boy when he noticed something was weird and it’s funny and cute!

Many netizens found the cutout idea funny and creative, with many finding it relatable having a child that can’t be separated, while others shared their thoughts on how it would traumatise the son if something happened to the cutout while the son is watching.

Either way it’s fun to see the family spending their time together and experimenting with the creative idea while making us laugh!
