When we mention Henry Cavill, the first thing that comes to your mind is probably his role as Superman—and let’s not forget that unforgettable CGI mustache. However, things are changing in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Reports have been going around, saying Henry will be quitting his role as Superman because he missed a cameo shoot for the upcoming DCEU movie, Shazam!, due to conflicting work schedules. As a result of this, the studio has decided to focus on developing a Supergirl movie instead.
Henry and DCEU’s fans all over the world are sad about the news, and the ongoing rumours about Ben Affleck leaving his role as Batman isn’t helping too.
But the plot thickens! Warner Bros issued a statement after the news surfaced, emphasising the “great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill”! Dany Garcia, Henry’s agent, also tweeted, “Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet.”
Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. @wbpictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today.

On top of all that, Henry himself posted a video on Instagram of him wearing a “Krypton Lifting Team” t-shirt, slowly holding up a Superman figurine.
So, is the man himself leaving the role or is he still negotiating with Warner Bros? Seems like the fate of the Kryptonian is still unknown but we definitely can’t imagine a Superman that isn’t Henry Cavill.
What do you think the future holds for Henry Cavill and the DCEU?
