PJ and KL drivers, here’s a heads up if you’re thinking of taking the Federal Highway over the next 15 days.

According to Lebuhraya Duke Fasa 3 Sdn Bhd (LDF3), the left lane of the Federal Highway from Kuala Lumpur to Petaling Jaya will be closed starting today until 9th June from 10pm to 6am.

The closure of the left lane will take place to enable works to launch and install temporary beams for the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE).

In a statement, LDF3 noted that during this period, motorists who are heading towards PJ from the city centre will still be able to use the remaining lanes to make their journey.

During this time, the Emergency Response Team (ERT) from SPE will be monitoring the situation of the highway and ensuring the ease of traffic for motorists.

“The concession company, LDF3 is advising all road users to drive carefully in the areas affected by construction and to adhere to traffic officers as well as traffic signage(s) placed at the construction site,” the statement read.

“LDF3 apologises for all inconveniences caused to road users during the construction.”

As the festive season is just around the corner, we advise you to take this closure into consideration while you’re planning your balik kampung journey. Drive safe!
