As she nears her first wedding anniversary with Jake Bongiovi, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is opening up about the biggest lessons marriage has taught her.

“Loving someone and being in love are two different things,” Millie shared with Vanity Fair. “Jake is the first man I’ve ever loved and been in love with.”

Before saying “I do” in their private May 2024 wedding, the couple had deep conversations about their future. “We talked about our political views, the kind of family we want, and the careers we’re building,” she explained. “It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to be sure.”

Jake, 22, has also been a source of support as Millie, 20, prepares to say goodbye to Stranger Things. Reflecting on her final days on set, she admitted, “I started crying, and Jake said, ‘It’s good, you have to get it out!’”

Though they’ve kept most wedding details private, Jake’s father, Jon Bon Jovi, revealed that it was a “very small family wedding” and that Millie “looked gorgeous.”

As Millie continues this new chapter, one thing is clear: with Jake by her side, it always feels right.
