21-year-old badminton player, S. Kisona won her first senior International title at the Indonesia International Series tournament in the women’s singles event. She started playing badminton when she was just 4 years old. Kisona is the youngest siblings of A. Selvaduray and S. Valarmathi. She was born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
S.Kisona is skinnier compared to her peers, but it has not stopped her from making headlines in the sport. Tey Sue Bock women’s coach commented saying Kisona is thin and he needs to find a different way to push her to become a strong player. This didn’t stop Kisona from striving big and she said “It is true. I am skinny but there isn’t much I can do to bulk up. “However, there are other top players who are similar to me in terms of physique. “I must study them and see what works.” So inspiring, isn’t it?
In year 2013, she won Bronze at Nanjing Sport Institute,China with a score of 21-15 and 23-21.
