As a huge TLOU fan, the Joel and Ellie casting is really underwhelming. I know they wanted to put a different spin on it, but the character personalities need to be there. Hopefully it works out great!

Josh Brolin was the first person that jumped to my mind for this. But I like Pedro too, so I'm sure it'll be good!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIMES AND PEDRO PASCAL AS JOEL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE IN MY FANTASY pic.twitter.com/nsBn8rt7rG
Wow okay interesting! The dude is such a great actor but doesn't give me the Joel vibes but he must of knocked the audition out the park to be cast so I'm gonna take the wait and see approach! I hope he turns out to be great like heath ledger was for the Joker!

I think Pascal is a great actor. But for this role I still think it should’ve gone to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. I understand Pascal is one of the current “top dogs” of television/film but Nikolaj would’ve been perfect. pic.twitter.com/edtZL4qPYH

Pedro Pascal cast as Joel in the Last of Us show reminds me of when I heard about Robert Pattinson cast as The Batman: never thought of it, love the actor, this is BRILLIANT casting! pic.twitter.com/5rtlvv2Jrn

Many others as well. Anson Mount, Richard Armitage, and Josh Brolin to name a few. With Ellie, I honestly don't like the casting. Mackenzie Foy, Joey King, Angourie Rice, Sadie Sink, and Sophia Lillis.

Though we remain a little skeptical on how The Last of Us’ adaptation will be like, we’re totally on board with Pedro as Joel!
Do you think they made the right choice with Pedro? Who would you prefer to see as Joel instead? Let us know!
