Robert Downey Jr. is undoubtedly one of our favourite actors after his iconic role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the actor was just nominated for Worst Actor at the Razzies!
RDJ recently received a nomination for Razzies’ Worst Actor of the year award for his role in the 2020 movie Dolittle.
The Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzie Awards or the Razzies, is a parody award show honouring the worst of cinematic under-achievements since 1981 and they recently released their list of nominations after the 2021 Oscars announced theirs.
Co-founded by UCLA film graduates and film industry veterans John J. B. Wilson and Mo Murphy, the Razzie Awards' satirical annual ceremony has preceeded its polar opposite, the coveted Academy Awards, for four decades with the term raspberry used in its irreverent sense, as in "blowing a raspberry".
Despite recently winning Favourite Movie Actor at the 2021 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards (and getting slimed), Dolittle bags the maximum nominations at the Razzies alongside 365 Days.
Other actors and actresses nominated include Anne-Hathaway, Adam Sandler, Katie Holmes, Kate Hudson, Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Shia LeBeouf and more!
