Losing an IC or bank card can cause immediate stress, from the fear of misuse to the cost of replacing them. But for one Malaysian couple, their missing cards weren’t stolen—they were hiding in the most unlikely place.
In a viral TikTok video by user @azriwanramli, the mystery unraveled when the couple removed a car door panel and made a surprising discovery.

Hidden within the car door were five cards that had been missing for some time. As it turns out, the couple’s toddler was the culprit. The child had slipped the cards through a gap in the car window, causing them to fall into the door panel. The father explained the situation in the video, saying, “Turns out this is how the cards got in. My wife noticed our child pushing them through here,” as he demonstrated the action.
Before discovering the cards, the couple had already reported the IC as lost and paid a RM300 penalty to replace it—only to later find it safely stashed inside their car.
Reflecting on the ordeal, the father advised other parents to check their car doors if they lose important items.
The TikTok video struck a chord with viewers, as many parents flooded the comments section with similar stories. The video has since become a lighthearted reminder for parents to keep an eye on their children’s creative antics—and to check those hard-to-reach places before declaring something lost!
