Sleeping in a fully air-conditioned room can be super comfortable especially in the hot weather and it seems like a burglar thought it was a good idea too.
A 22-year-old man was recently arrested after he fell asleep halfway through robbing a house and he even managed to switch on the aircond till the morning in the Phetchabun Province, Thailand.
The owner of the house, who is also a police officer, found the man sleeping in his daughter’s bed and woke the man up by yelling at him. The drowsy burglar seemed to be in a state of confusion and wasn’t sure where he was.
The man had reportedly broken into the house at 2am but decided to rest and sleep with the aircond and blanket on because he was too tired.
The home owner noticed that the aircond in his daughter’s room was turned on and decided to check the room through the window because his daughter wasn’t home. He then found the sleeping man in her bed.
He then called the police and decided to yell at the man from the window after the police arrived.
The burglar was reported to have had a deep sleep and completely forgot about the theft and even turned his head several times to check his surrounding to make sense of where he was.
The man was then arrested by the police and will be facing burglary and trespassing charges.
Many netizens found the incident funny, with many jokingly saying that the man just wanted to use the aircond because the weather was too hot and that it’s relatable to fall asleep on the job.
Some even said that they will definitely buy the mattress if the police had revealed the mattress brand.
