Not gonna lie, we’re not a fan of cockroaches, and we’re sure there’s many of you out there that are in the same boat as us.

One man however, showed some kindness to an injured cockroach and he received praise from the veterinarian who treated it.

If you’re squeamish about cockroaches, we advise you to look away now.

There are some who believe that all life is precious and worth saving, no matter how big or small they may be and Dr. Thanu Limppannawanich is one of them.

The veterinarian from Thailand has kept his vow to save all kinds of live and he proved it by going to extraordinary measures to save a cockroach that had been stepped on.

A kind man who had accidentally stepped on it, brought in the injured insect to the vet’s office. While Dr. Thanu possessed limited knowledge about the anatomy of a cockroach, he did all he could to save his “client”.

Due to the insect’s hard exoskeleton, it was impossible for the vet to inject any medication so he decided to place the injured cockroach in an oxygen chamber instead.

Fortunately, Dr. Thanu’s decision to place it in the chamber proved to be life-saving to the insect that seemed to be experiencing shock after getting stepped on.

Although the insect was still able to move around, they estimated that it would only have a 50% chance of survival.

Dr. Thanu however believes that the cockroach’s natural toughness would allow it to survive its injuries, thus placing it in the oxygen chamber.

Luckily, the next morning, the cockroach showed healthy vital signs and was released outdoors, back into its natural habitat.

The vet did not charge the man who brought in the insect, for the treatment.

We doubt this would have been our reaction if we accidentally stepped on a cockroach…

Luckily Dr. Thanu is not like us and was able to save the unlucky insect!

Kudos to the vet!

Do you love or hate cockroaches? Would you have taken the same steps as the kind man? Let us know what you would have done!
