K-pop girl group Blackpink’s Lisa, who reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 on 24 November, was released from quarantine on Saturday afternoon.
Health authorities in South Korea have confirmed that the Thai-born singer, who was fully vaccinated, has now recovered from Covid-19, according to a statement from the band’s management agency, YG Entertainment.
“Government health authorities have clinically determined that Lisa, who has been receiving at-home treatment, is no longer at risk of spreading the virus,” the agency was quoted saying, as reported by The Star.
Other members of the group - Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé, also took Covid tests and fortunately, they were found to be negative, so were the band’s production staff, security personnel and acquaintances.
Despite the rest of the group testing negative for Covid-19, they have also reduced their activities as a precautionary measure. YG Entertainment shared that only “unavoidable scheduled appointments for work purposes” remain.
Lisa had been MIA on all of her social media platforms ever since she tested positive for Covid-19. She did not share any photos during her time in quarantine, but fans showered her comments section with well-wishes and messages welcoming her back. Aww BLINKS!
To mark her return, the Thai-born singer posted several throwback pictures on Instagram on Saturday. She captioned the snaps from her trip to Los Angeles last month with only a red heart emoji.
