Ever since Charlie found his golden ticket and walked through the gates of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, we were introduced to a world beyond our imagination.

First brought to life in 1971 by Gene Wilder, the actor created an iconic character that many fans still look back on with fond memories.

Talks about a prequel of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory has been around for a while and now, Warner Brothers has officially set March 2023 as it’s release date.

Directed by Paul King, who brought the Paddington movies to life, Wonka will be focused on the chocolate chief’s younger years in the legendary chocolate factory – an origin story if you will.
