Sunny Cheah is a singer-songwriter from a small town in Perak called Ipoh. He started singing since the age of 10 after falling in love with the movie High School Musical and has been in love with music and singing ever since.

In 2008, Sunny started posting covers on YouTube. He also started making music as a way to escape from reality and also to let out his feelings kept inside.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lauv, GLADES and bülow, Sunny was able to find his sound and make music that appealed to him. His music was made right from his humble bedroom.
In 2018, he released his first EP Red Checkered Flannel, and he went on to release his latest second EP Blue Checkered Flannel in 2020.
The Blue Checkered Flannel EP is about a tragedy that happened to his lover and how he’s coping with it.
Sunny has also worked with some of his favorite artists such as Marina Lin, silver lim and amongst others.
Apart from his musical endeavors, Sunny is also passionate about videography and photography!
