Yamal Should Be Fit Enough To Start For Spain

 

Spain's coach says teenage star Lamine Yamal could recover from a hamstring injury in time for their opening match at the football festival in North America.

Officials will closely monitor the 18-year-old's fitness and make a final decision closer to the match

Separately, the football governing body has banned fans from bringing refillable water bottles into tournament venues

It’s a safety precaution - to prevent injuries to players, officials and other fans if such bottles are thrown.

However, critics have warned that the ban could pose a health risk to spectators due to high temperatures.
