We’ve picked up our 4th Asian Games gold medal!  

This is after our Sepak Takraw team beat defending champions Thailand 2-0 in the team regu final.  

Their triumph also ended Malaysia’s 36 year wait for a gold medal in the event.  

Our last victory was back at the 1990 Games in Beijing.  

This takes our overall gold medals tally to 4, meaning we just need two more to reaching our target.

We also have 1 silver and 5 bronze medals.  

Meanwhile, national sprinter Muhammad Azeem Fahmi told Astro Arena he still sees a lot of room for improvement, after he qualified for the 100m semifinals...  

Azeem reached the semis after winning his heat yesterday with a time of 10.17 seconds.

Malaysian debutant Muhammad Umaira Subri also reached the semis.

Ameeshenraj Chandaran-Rachel Arnold are through to the squash mixed doubles semis, after beating their opponents from South Korea.  

However, Aifa Azman-Syafiq Kamal crashed out.  

Defending champions, Ng Eain Yow and S. Sivasangari are through to the men’s and women’s singles semis.  

Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai won their opening match in the badminton individual mixed doubles event but crashed out in round 2.
