Spain Are World Champions!

Ferran Torres scored an extra-time winner, to give Spain a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final of the football festival in North America.

The match had finished goalless after 90 minutes, while the Argentines also had to play extra-time with ten men after Enzo Fernandez was sent off.

This is Spain’s second time being crowned world champions after their last triumph in 2010.

Meanwhile, Spain captain Rodri picked up the Golden Ball award as the tournament’s best player while Unai Simon was named the best keeper after conceding just once in eight games.

The Golden Boot award, meanwhile, went to France captain Kylian Mbappe, making him the first player to be named top scorer for two tournaments in a row.

His 10 goals leaves him two ahead of Lionel Messi.
