Our Boys Secure A Thomas Cup Quarterfinal Spot

Malaysia has reached the quarterfinals of the Thomas Cup.

Our shuttlers booked their place with a 4-1 win over Finland, which was their second successive victory in the group stage.

The national squad will wrap up their Group B campaign with a tie against Japan tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the Uber Cup our women’s shuttlers – who’ve already qualified for the last eight – finished as Group B runners up after a 4-1 loss to Japan.

The result leaves the Red Devils in third place…three points ahead of Liverpool and Aston Villa.
