Suspect In Teen Confinement And Abuse Case Detained

The suspect accused of confining, abusing and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in Shah Alam earlier this month, has been taken into custody.

Selangor police confirmed the debt collector, who has a prior criminal record, was arrested in KL over the weekend.

The suspect is accused of luring the victim by offering him a mobile phone data package, in exchange for helping carry some items into his house.

A 35-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to a charge of drunk driving and causing injuries to a p-hailing rider in Klang last week.

He was allegedly seen in viral video speeding against the flow of traffic before the collision.

Bail was set at 10,000 ringgit with the case set for mention on June 30th.

Separately, police have completed their probe into a fatal crash involving an elderly driver and a delivery rider in Petaling Jaya earlier this month, with the investigation papers to be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.
