The Home Ministry and the Prisons Department are still awaiting official written notification about the decision to place Datuk Seri Najib Razak under house arrest.
The Home Minister says only after receiving the notification can the relevant authorities be clear about what further action to take.
This includes details about the specified premises where the house arrest will be served.

In a related development DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has offered to resign as Transport Minister, as part of the party’s response to the house arrest granted to the former prime minister.
Loke says the decision to step down only involves him, and not other existing DAP ministers.
At the same time, he adds that the party respect the pardoning power of the Yang DiPertuan Agong, which cannot be questioned.
