Seven Areas Record Unhealthy Air Quality

Seven areas are now recording unhealthy air quality levels.

At last look, these were Serian, Kuching, Sri Aman and Samarahan in Sarawak as well as Johan Setia in Selangor, Sungai Petani, Kedah, and Taiping in Perak.

A further 61 locations around the country are also experiencing moderate air quality.

Meanwhile, Sarawak has cancelled several major events, including the state-level National Day celebration, due to poor air quality in several parts of the state.

Officials say the precautionary measure prioritizes public health and well-being.
