24 Malaysian members of the Global Sumud Flotilla are said to have been detained by Israeli forces.
Reports say the expedition was intercepted in international waters off the coast of Cyprus.
The Malaysians are now expected to be held on an Israeli prison vessel, before being taken to shore to be processed and deported.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has strongly condemned the capture of the Malaysian nationals.
In a Facebook post, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim described the incident as a clear violation of international law while demanding the immediate and safe release of all captured volunteers.
