Haze School Closure Update

The Education Ministry says schools in Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan will remain closed tomorrow due to the haze.

The closure will also affect schools in Hulu Langat and Sepang in Selangor… Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang… Serian, Sri Aman and Lubok Antu in Sarawak…and Tawau in Sabah.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says a change in wind conditions within the next two weeks could help clear up the haze here.

The DPM also suggested that Indonesia may not need assistance to put out the haze-causing forest fires there, since it already has a huge number of personnel and assets handling the situation.
