Haze Could Worsen Soon

The haze – which has been easing over the past couple of days – could worsen again.

The Met Department says this is because hot and dry conditions are expected to return within the next few days.

It adds that we’re still in the Southwest Monsoon, which is expected to persist until the end of next month, with the risk of haze to remain as long as the monsoon winds continue.

Meanwhile, at last look six areas in Sarawak are experiencing unhealthy air quality levels. 

Serian is the worst-affected, with an API reading of 185.

The Home Ministry has ordered the Immigration Department to fully cooperate in the investigation into the fatal crash involving one of its trucks in KL.
