Govt Aid Won't Be Affected By Switch To New MyKad

Your access to government assistance programs like BUDI95 and the SARA aid will not be affected if you switch over to the new MyKad.

JPN assures that the existing list of beneficiaries will remain on the system, adding that it is working closely with the relevant agencies to ensure the data stays intact.

It said this in response to concerns about possible technical issues when accessing government assistance, once the new MyKad structure is rolled out.

PDRM is calling for closer cooperation between governments, ministries and agencies to better combat cybecrime and online scams.

It says this is crucial – given that this cross-border security threat is becoming more widespread and complex.

It also pointed to how Malaysia lost around 2.7 billion dollars to online scams last year as an example of how the problem cannot be solved by a single enforcement agency alone.
