South Korea have opened their football festival campaign in Mexico with a 2-1 comeback win over Czech Republic in Group A.

This is the first time in four festival editions that the Koreans have made a winning start to their campaign.

The match wraps up action from the first day of the tournament, after co-hosts Mexico beat South Africa 2-nil earlier this morning.

The results mean South Korea go second in Group A, behind Mexico on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Canada will open their Group B campaign on home soil against Bosnia early tomorrow morning.

The hosts have shown strong defensive form, while Bosnia arrive with confidence after beating several top European sides in the qualifying playoffs

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two nations.

Also, tournament hosts US will open their Group D campaign taking on Paraguay in Los Angeles.

The Americans, ranked 16th in the world, have had nearly two years of preparation under coach Mauricio Pochettino.
