Liverpool have cruised into the 5^th round of the FA Cup after a comfortable 3-0 win over Brighton.  

Mo Salah scored a penalty and registered an assist, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones also found the back of the net.

Aston Villa have crashed out of the FA Cup after losing their 4^th round match to Newcastle 3-1.  

Villa controversially took the lead after Tammy Abraham's opener was allowed to stand despite being offside.  

However, Villa's goalkeeper was red-carded just before half-time and this helped push the Magpies to fight back.  

Newcastle are through to the 5^th round while the Europa League is now Villa's only realistic chance to win a trophy.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola is keeping optimistic about Erling Haaland's fitness, after he was was substituted in their 2-0 win over Salford.  

Guardiola says the struger picked up a knock, and the medics believe it's not too serious.
