The Transport Ministry is stepping up efforts to address the recent service disruptions involving the Kelana Jaya LRT line.
As such, the Land Public Transport Agency has been instructed to investigate the matter.
The Ministry stressed that the agency does have the authority to take action against Prasarana if it's proven that there were operational weaknesses.
Meanwhile, Prasarana itself has been ordered to provide an explanation regarding the disruptions.
The operator will also have to provide an immediate recovery action plan to the Cabinet.

The MACC says over 800 containers believed to be filled with e-waste are sitting at Malaysian ports.
It adds that the situation is concerning and is urging authorities to take swift action.

On a separate matter, the commission has launched a joint operation with the Road Transport Department aimed at dismantling a bribery network where middlemen protect commercial vehicles from enforcement.
So far, 12 people have been arrested, including three enforcement officers.
