The Gunners Are Going To Wembley

 

 

Arsenal have reached the EFL Cup final for the first time in eight years, as they seek their first trophy of the season.

This, after they beat Chelsea 1-0 in the second leg of their semifinal this morning, to complete a 4-2 victory on aggregate.

Tomorrow’s other semifinal will see Man City take on Newcastle…with Pep Guardiola’s side leading 2-0 from the first leg. 

Incidentally, Arsenal’s last appearance in the League Cup final was a 3-nil defeat to City.

Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad is reportedly going all out to sign Liverpool’s Mo Salah.

The Egyptian striker is said to be their number one target to replace Karim Benzema, who ended up joining rivals Al Hilal.

The IOC president says all athletes should be allowed to compete in sport -regardless of their government’s actions – which is being taken to mean that Russia could be allowed back in time for the 2028 LA Olympics.

Russia has been excluded from international competition since it launched its war on Ukraine in 2022.

Malaysia’s Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom will be skipping next month’s Asian Track Cycling Championship…to ensure he’s fully fit for the final round of the Track Cycling World Cup in April.
