Police are investigating a viral video where an e-hailing driver allegedly sexually harassed a female passenger in Johor Bahru.

Cops explained that they're trying to identify the individuals involved and will call in witnesses.

However, as of now, the victim has yet to lodge an official report over the incident.

Meanwhile, the e-hailing company has apologized for the incident.

It adds that it takes the matter very seriously and is currently reaching out to the affected passenger to provide support.

Whatsapp accounted for 43% of all reported job-related scams in Malaysia last year.

Police say this puts the messaging app as the leading platform for such fraudulent activities.

Other platforms also played a significant role in facilitating these scams, with Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram reporting cases.

As such, cops are reminding the public to remain vigilant and to always verify the legitimacy of any job offers they receive.

The MACC is ready to probe potential corruption involving undisclosed offshore financial accounts.

It told the NST that it's suggesting a joint investigation with the Inland Revenue Board, involving the sharing of intelligence regarding which companies are on the tax agency’s radar.

This comes after the IRB revealed that nearly 15 thousand Malaysians had offshore accounts containing some 10 billion ringgit in funds.

Officials are investigating a petrol station in Johor after a Singapore-registered vehicle was caught refueling with RON95 petrol earlier this month.  

The state's Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says it was first alerted after images of the incident circulated on social media.  

Authorities then immediately checked CCTV footage to confirm the incident.  

The case sparked public backlash after the viral images reignited concerns over subsidized fuel leakages near the border.
