Lockers to Ease Weight of Heavy School Bags

The Education Ministry has completed the delivery of lockers to primary schools
nationwide.

It told FMT that 400,000 lockers have been distributed since the programme was
announced four years ago.

The ministry announced the measure amid complaints of primary students being forced
to carry heavy school bags.

Besides this, the ministry says it is taking other measures to deal with the issue,
including implementing digital textbooks and restructuring school timetables.
