Over 1K Nabbed For Littering So Far

More than a thousand individuals nationwide have been issued Community Service orders for littering in public spaces since the start of the year.

The Housing and Local Government Ministry says this shows the effectiveness of the new anti-littering law…as we’re already seeing a significant positive impact on public cleanliness.

It adds that the community service sentences, which have already started, will continue to be carried out in phases.

There are no plans at the moment for a mass evacuation of Malaysian citizens from the middle east, despite the uncertain security situation there.

The Foreign Ministry says things are still under control, adding that it continues to monitor the latest developments there. 

It adds that our foreign missions have also been working round the clock to provide assistance to Malaysians who may be stranded or in need of help.
