We live in a modern age where getting married doesn’t necessarily equate to being happy… but this mother disagrees.
A woman in China recently got repeatedly beaten up by her mother with an iron bar after being single for too long.
The incident happened in Changzhou, China and left the 30-year-old daughter, Lin, bruised and bleeding and she has previously reported her mother twice for the same offence.
The mother, Wang, refused orders from the police officers and even said, “I beat my daughter, not other people”.
The daughter said that she always gets beaten by her mother for being unmarried and she even quit her previous job to help her mother out at her restaurant because her mother said the job had not earned big money.
Her mother said that the latest conflict started after the daughter talked back to her after she was scolded for not cleaning the house.
She got angry and threatened to slap her daughter, who told her to “do it” before the mother picked up the iron stick from the kitchen and beat her with it.
Either way, hitting anyone is a crime and you should stay single if that makes you happy!
