The Walking Dead fans, brace yourselves. We’re about to lose someone, again.
Danai Gurira aka katana-wielding survivor, Michonne, is officially leaving the series behind. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Danai has signed a deal to return for her final season on The Walking Dead.

Under the new agreement, the actress will return to season 10 in a limited capacity. That means that she’ll only be in a few episodes, not for the entire season.
After losing Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan), fans are heartbroken to lose Michonne.
However, we’re not losing Michonne entirely. Danai will be back to star in three upcoming Walking Dead movies with Andrew that have been planned with AMC.
Even though we’re sad about Danai’s departure from the series, the thought of Rick and Michonne reuniting in the near future gives us hope.
