We’ve heard of many unique names before but now, an Indonesian man has given his son an exclusive name that we’re sure no one else in the world has (or will have).

The name?

“Department of Communications, Informatics and Statistics”.

Now, some people love their jobs and would do anything for their workplace but Slamet Wahyudi loves his job so much that he decided to honour them by naming his son after the department.

The state civil servant from Central Java shared that he had named his son as such as a tribute to his workplace.

“I gave the name of my son as a tribute to my workplace,” Slamet, who’s fondly known as Yoga, told reporters.

Yoga initial worked as an honorary staff at the Communications, Informatics and Statistics department of Brebes Regency before he was officially appointed as a civil servant in 2009.

“Currently, I work in the Custodian Section of the Goods Management,” he shared.

According to Yoga, long before the baby was born, he had made a vow to name it after his workplace if the baby was a boy.

He had discussed the matter with his wife Ririn Linda Tunggal Sari, prior to the baby’s birth and his wife agreed to his terms.

When the couple’s baby boy was born on 23rd December 2020, he was officially named “Dinas Komunikasi Informatika Statistik”.

“At first, the name sounded strange,” Yoga said. “But thank God my wife did not mind his unique name.”

“We call him Dinko,” the father shared.

But not everyone was as accepting of the baby’s name as Ririn was. Yoga shared that the couple’s family questioned their decision to name the boy as such and it was only after some convincing that the family was accepting of Dinko’s name.

“Initially, our parents objected the name,” Yoga said. “After knowing the reason, they did not question it and finally allowed it.”

The 38-year-old civil servant knows that his child’s name is unusual but he’s convinced that the public will soon get used to Dinko’s full name.

“We hope that this child will become a pious child that’s devoted to his parents and will contribute to his religion, race and country,” he said.

We hope Dinko does grow up to be someone special, especially with his unique name!
