Long travel time, inability to communicate over long distances, and the tediousness of everyday life – these we reckon are the common problems faced by our civilisation before the introduction of technology.

Fast forward to the 21st century and all of these problems have miraculously disappeared. Yet despite a simpler, more comfortable life, we haven’t stopped complaining. Old world problems have given way to first-world problems.

It isn’t just about complaining about anything and everything either. There’s an art to it. For you to complain about having first-world problems, you must simultaneously convey that you’re both irritated and fortunate at the same time.

Here are 7 first-world problems you’re likely to experience with regards to…

#1 Internet Security

Having to put extra time and thought into coming up with a strong password that includes a combination of alphabets, numbers, uppercase, and special characters is such an inconvenience. Why can’t we use “Password” as a password?!

#2 Battery Life

We have an unreasonable expectation that our mobile devices have an infinite battery life despite using it for the last 8 hours. Surely nobody expects us to attend social gatherings and actually speak to each other right?

#3 Travelling

Having to go through the hassle of checking-in, queuing up, and waiting to board our flight to an all-expense trip around the world. Urgh, so bored.

#4 Work

We demand work-life balance! Not having hours of free time to look up memes and dad jokes during office hours is unacceptable.

#5 Eating

We absolutely refuse to eat the same thing 3 times a day, every single day. But deciding on where and what to eat is such a first-world problem.

#6 Priorities

Imagine being in the middle of a good game or TV show, and then feeling the urge to go to the toilet. Maybe our bladder won’t mind if we hold it in for another hour or two, eh?

#7 Coffee

Picture this scene, you’ve walked into the most hipster café on the block and ordered a fancy (and expensive) cup of latte. Then, you proceed to ask the barista for the Wi-Fi password and he tells you there is no Wi-Fi. Your brain cannot compute. All you taste in the latte is despair.

Coffee is an awesome creation that should not go to waste just because there is no Wi-Fi. But, we get it, Internet connection is important which is why you should #JomInternet by opting for Digi Prepaid biGBonus with 35GB of Internet data plus an extra 10GB of data for video and music streaming.

On top of 45GB of total Internet data, you get also get free 1,000 minutes call time to 6 Buddyz. All this Internet power for only RM30 per month.
