The long-awaited Harry Potter reunion special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, finally pulled in to platform 9 & 3/4 with the original cast and made fans everywhere sob nostalgic tears in the first five minutes alone!

While we spent most of our time watching with tears in our eyes, owl-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice a couple of mistakes that were made…

First off, the Weasley twins aka the Phelps twins IRL.

In one of the segments involving James and Oliver Phelps (who played Fred and George Weasley respectively), the brothers were incorrectly identified — the producers somehow seemed to have got the pair mixed up. Or was it intentional…?

The Weasley twins were after all known for continuously pranking their mother by switching identities…

Though it appears to be a simple error, Oliver (Georg) suggested an alternative explanation that we’d definitely believe!

‘I guess after all those pranks over the years somebody decided to get their revenge,’ he wrote.

Co-star Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom, commented on the post as well saying: "This is legit hilarious," while Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, jokingly took responsibility of the mistake saying: “It was my doing :)”.

But was it actually Draco? Or was it Fred and George up to their mischievous pranks again? Or maybe… the producers really were getting their revenge… We can only guess…

The Weasley twins mix-up was not the only mischief managed in the reunion…

In another segment while discussing her childhood, a picture of Emma Watson - who played Hermione Granger; as a young girl wearing a set of Minnie Mouse ears appeared on screen.

But… it wasn’t Emma Watson. In fact, it was another Hollywood Emma. Emma Roberts.

Indeed, if you scroll way back on the Scream Queens star’s Instagram feed, you’ll find the photo, which she originally posted in 2012 with the caption, “Minnie mouse ears!”

A post shared by Emma Roberts (@emmaroberts)

Neither Emma has commented on the mix-up so far, but in a statement to E! News, the producers of the reunion special addressed the mistake saying "Well spotted Harry Potter fans! You brought an editing mistake of a mislabeled photograph to our attention. New version is up now."

So it’s confirmed, folks. There was no polyjuice potion involved, just an editing error which turned Emma Watson into Emma Roberts.

The internet really had a lot of say about this mistake. We don’t blame the fans tho, because the producers or whoever responsible for the editing should’ve siriusly checked the footage first before releasing the special…

Well, at least we had a laugh amidst the tears!

Have you watched the Return to Hogwarts special yet? Did you spot the mistakes on the first go? Let us know!
