If you ever watched the movie about the serial killing doll – Chucky, you’ve either been traumatized by it or laughed about it at some point. Time to relive those memories, because that creepy movie’s getting a reboot this year!
The first trailer of the reboot was recently released and it certainly looks like Chucky got a few upgrades…
It seems like Chucky is more of a robotic toy instead of a regular murdering doll in this one. They even made an “ad” for it.
The producers are also the same ones that worked on everybody’s favourite creepy clown movie, IT.
The original creator however, weren’t impressed. He tweeted about his thoughts in a meme that pretty much says it all.
Actress Jennifer Tilly, who played Chucky’s wife Tiffany Valentine, also disapproves of the ‘new’ Chucky.
… and to add to the entire drama, there’s also a Chucky TV series coming, but it will be set in the same universe as the original franchise, instead of the reboot.
Looks like we’ll get to see more of Chucky on the big and small screen! Child’s Play is set to be released on the 21st of June. What are your thoughts on the reboot? Let us know!
