Fans have been drawing comparisons between Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) and Zac Efron saying that Billy is Zac’s doppelgänger.
The two definitely look similar in certain shots. But not exactly the same. In fact, they look just different enough that it has lead fans to the bizarre conclusion that Dacre is actually Zac’s “Upside Down” doppelgänger. This comparison began an onslaught of hilarious memes, tweets and comments from fans who are completely impressed by the physical similarities of both actors.
But wait, it gets even stranger. Now, Netflix Life reports that there’s a newer fan theory: Billy is actually Zac Efron’s dad in the “Stranger Things” world. The timeline and location actually seem to align.
Of course, this implies that Zac could be making an appearance in the show in a later season (can it be season 3 please?).
Only the internet could come up with a conspiracy theory where the life of an IRL actor is roped into the fictional “Stranger Things” universe. That being said, Zac has mentioned that he’d love to be on “Stranger Things”, so who knows? Stranger things have happened amirite?
