A woman in India snuck the word "memes" into her Henna design instead of her husband's name on her wedding day, and the reason why will make you smile.

For those of you familiar with South Asian wedding culture, you'll know that a bride's wedding mehendi a.k.a henna is a fun and important part of the ceremony. And as is the norm, a bride would hide her groom's name somewhere in the design. One bride however, decided to go against tradition and her own spin to the design.

Dipti Mangottil from Chennai, decided to pay homage to her future husband and snuck in the word "memes" in her wedding mehendi. Why? It was an ode to how she met her husband-to-be, Praveen Balachander.

Dipti and Praveen met through their mutual love for memes. Yes, it does happen.

A mutual friend constantly tagged both Dipti and Praveen on the same memes and one day they decided to slide into each other's DMs. They immediately hit it off, realised their common interests, and soon decided to make it official.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Dipti said, "As tradition goes, the bride is supposed to get her husband's name written on her hands in henna. But I wanted something special which could be mine and Praveen's secret. So I asked the henna artist to put memes."

"Praveen was over the moon and giggling away to glory when he saw what I did for him. A few friends saw it on my Insta-story and were blown away and super amused, and suddenly, my wedding went viral. It's crazy how such a simple idea struck a chord with so many people!" she said.

We think it was a great idea! But our main question is, where's our friend that's gonna introduce us to our meme-soulmate?
