Ariana Grande has dropped a new single, "thank u, next", and it's definitely not a diss track like you may have expected.

Just minutes before the Saturday Night Live episode - where Pete Davidson poked fun at their breakup, aired, Ariana's mum tweeted about the new music!

The singer had previously insinuated on Twitter that she would be releasing new music that was directly related to Pete. But she wants everyone to know that the single is "far from a diss track," and in fact, "it's the opposite," she said.

Ariana doesn't only sing about her ex-fiance in the new track, she also mentions her ex-boyfriend, the late Mac Miller.

"Now I listen and laugh / Even almost got married / And for Pete, I'm so thankful / Wish I could say, 'Thank you' to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel," she sings.

If you're thinking that the song is a "on to the next" type of song, it's not. Instead, it's a sincere thank you to all her ex-boyfriends for teaching her valuable lessons in life.

She sings, "One taught me love / One taught me patience / One taught me pain / Now, I'm so amazing / I've loved and lost."

Arianators have nothing but love for the new track:

And in case you're wondering if there's an album on the way? There is. "Thank u, next" is both the title of the new song and the upcoming album.

Are you loving "Thank u, next"?
