Shawn Mendes "fell off a bird" and the Internet is in stitches!
Shawn sent the Internet into a meme frenzy when he injured himself by falling off a scooter in Nashville.
"I fell off of a scooter yesterday—very hard core," he said to E! News. "I wasn't even going that fast, actually. I was going a little but slow, then I turned around and something happened. I said, 'I don't want to break a wrist!' So, I put my face into the ground."
Calmly showing off the new cuts and bruises on his face, the singer took to his Instagram Story to share with his fans that he "fell off a bird".
Fans were confused obviously by what “bird" this was. To clear things up, "Bird" is an electric scooter company that allows people to rent scooters in various cities.
Obviously, the Internet still had its fun with Shawn.
For the record, Shawn is on the mend and didn't suffer any permanent damage. He told E! News, "It's OK, because I can still play guitar and I can still sing—and that's what matters."
We're glad he's okay, but we're still laughing at all the memes!
