When Hugh Jackman hung up his adamantium claws, the world questioned who would be the next Wolverine? Could it be Daniel Radcliffe?

Rumours have been floating around that the Harry Potter star could be the next Wolverine ever since Daniel responded to WIRED’s most-searched questions feature.
In the feature that gets guests to answer the internet’s most-searched questions about themselves, the actor was asked “Is Daniel Radcliffe the new Wolverine?”
Daniel jokingly answered, “There’s going to be a new Wolverine movie, in which it starts off with Hugh Jackman being put into a hot wash. And then when he comes out, it’s me. So yes, I’m very happy to announce that here.”
Clearly, the joke didn’t really work as many people started questioning if the rumour was true after Daniel’s statement.
The actor then clarified his joke on IGN.
“This is what happens when you make jokes,” he said. “Wouldn’t it be great if you could just start casting yourself in things by just saying them in interviews?”
“So I guess people have been asking something about me and Wolverine,” he continued. “And I made a joke about [playing] Wolverine after being in a hot wash, like I’d been shrunk in a hot wash, and the Internet seems to think that I was putting that out there on my dream board cosmic order system.”
Daniel continued to joke saying, “If some super talented writer wants to write ‘Baby Wolf’ and turn it into a massive franchise, I’m in.”

Fans of both the Harry Potter and Wolverine franchises were torn. Some could see Daniel taking on the role of Wolverine but others strongly opposed.
For clarity sake, Daniel has not been cast as Wolverine. Maybe in the future, who knows? What do you think of Daniel as Wolverine?
