P.S I Love You is definitely one of the most heartbreaking romantic movie and left many of us in tears watching it. And now a sequel is officially confirmed!

According to Variety, Alcon Entertainment, the company that produced the 2007’s P.S. I Love You movie, has acquired the rights to the follow-up novel from the author Cecelia Ahern.

The follow-up novel, “Postscript” takes place seven years after the widow’s husband died and her sister asks her to tell the story of the “P.S. I Love You” letters on her podcast, and find herself drawn back to her past.

Hilary Swank is expected to reprise her role as the widow, Holly Kennedy in the sequel.

The 2007’s movie adaptation tells the story of Holly after her husband Gerry (played by Gerard Butler) tragically dies from a brain tumour and left 10 letters behind to help Holly overcome her grief and move on.

While it is unsure whether Gerard Butler will return, we certainly hope so!
