From the moment Nick Fury paged for help at the end of Infinity War, we've been at the edge of our seats, desperate to see Captain Marvel in action.

Marvel Studios has heard us. They’ve dropped the first Captain Marvel trailer and it looks as amazing as we expected it to.

Entertainment Weekly provided the film's first synopsis:

"The film sidesteps the traditional origin-story template, and when it begins, Carol already has her powers. She's left her earthly life behind to join the elite military team Starforce on the Kree planet of Hala."

Marvel's producer Kevin Feige has already promised that Carol Danvers will be the most powerful Avenger ever seen on the big screen.

Kevin told Screenrant:

"With Captain Marvel, she is as powerful a character as we’ve ever put in a movie. Her powers are off the charts, and when she’s introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we’ve ever had."

The Avengers 4 writers have admitted that they had an awful lot of fun writing a character with such an "unprecedented power level” and added that they’ve not seen anything like her in the MCU yet.

2019 can't come sooner! Are you excited for Captain Marvel?
