When you think about the golden trio of Harry Potter, the first thing you'd think of is Harry, Ron and Hermione, right? But what if Ron wasn't Ron?

The final Harry Potter movies could have looked a whole lot different if Ron was played by another actor, and that very well could have happened.

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, revealed that he seriously considered quitting after the fourth film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

In an interview with the Independent, Rupert revealed that he wanted to leave the wonderful wizarding world behind as he struggled to deal with the fame that came with being "on Potter".

"I had just finished my GCSEs," he said. "I thought 'Do I actually want to keep doing this? It's a bit of a drag.'"

Rupert added, "Because obviously it's a big sacrifice. You take for granted anonymity, just doing normal stuff, just going out. Everything was different and a little bit scary. There were times when I was like, 'I'm done.'"

Luckily for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Rupert stayed on and the rest as we know it, is history.

The actor revealed last year that he has never been able to enjoy the Harry Potter films due to the fact that he’s in them.

"I think being in things ruins them for me. I can't enjoy Harry Potter any more, not as a fan—it's just not the same!"

Can you imagine a world without Rupert as Ron?
