Those who have recovered from Covid-19 no longer need to wait three months to receive the vaccine.

JKJAV says it has decided to cancel the three-month wait period, due to the emergence of more transmissible variants of the virus.

The only exception is for those who’ve received antibody therapy – who still have to wait 90 days after recovery to be vaccinated.

The number of people dying and admitted into hospital due to Covid-19 should start to drop, once more Malaysians are vaccinated.

Minister in charge of the vaccination program, Khairy Jamaluddin says data has shown that hospitalization and fatality rates start to decline, when the vaccination rate hits between 30 to 40 percent.

He says based on how things are going…Malaysia should hit at least a 30 percent vaccination rate by the end of August.
