Ever since Spider-Man: Homecoming came out, fans all over have been shipping Tom Holland and Zendaya together and after years, it finally became public that the two are indeed dating IRL.
But unfortunately, their relationship becoming public was not their choice.

The couple, lovingly dubbed Tomdaya by fans, was photographed enjoying a private moment together over the summer and seen playfully flirting and kissing in a car.
The pictures immediately went viral and fans all over were rejoicing.
However, there were two people who were not celebrating, Tom and Zendaya.
Speaking to GQ, Tom shared:
“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.”
“I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway,” he added. “We sort of felt robbed of our privacy”.

The actor was asked if just wasn’t ready to talk publicly about his private, he replied saying that it’s much simpler than that.
“I don’t think it’s about not being ready,” he said. “It’s just that we didn’t want to.
“It’s not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to say… This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”

Tom was not the only one to speak out about the photos that went viral.
Zendaya was also interviewed and she gave her side of the story saying:
“It was quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive. The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own.”
“I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other,” she added.

Since the private moment went viral, Tom has shared a few heartwarming posts on his social media about his significant other.
It’s definitely unfortunate that the couple’s private moment was caught on camera and revealed to the public. But we’re still loving Tom and Zendaya together and wish the couple all the love in the world!
