All Universities & Colleges Students Will Return To Campuses In October

Three more months till all students return to campus!

All schools in Malaysia will reopen in stages starting 15 July and Higher Education campuses were announced to be fully reopened in October!

Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad announced in the press conference that all universities and colleges students will return to campuses from July to October.

In line with the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities' request, four categories of students will be allowed back to campuses this month:

1) 30% of local students in private colleges and universities.

2) Selected Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 students in public universities, who need to undergo clinical training, practical training etc.

3) Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 students of public universities who don’t have good internet connection or a conducive study area.

4) International students of both public & private universities & colleges; they must register themselves and undergo COVID screening 3 days before entering Malaysia, and they’ll be quarantined upon arrival here.

Student activities are allowed on campus, but must be limited to 250 people, subject to the size of the premise.

“Universities will be given the flexibility to choose the model that is most compatible with their institution, for students who need to follow the requirements of their programme,” Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad said.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob previously announced that foreign students will also be allowed to return following the reopening of the institutions.
